Paruresis is the inability to urinate when there are people nearby. This syndrome, also known as a "shy bladder," is more common than previously thought. The patients who suffer most with this condition are men, as they have to do with others often. If the problem is not addressed, it can cause serious health problems.

Urinating is not only a necessary act in our day to day, but thanks to this residual liquid we can learn about the internal state of our body, if something is wrong or if we have to be alarmed by our health. Next, the colors of the urine and what they say about health:

Transparent

If the urine is too clear; that is, if it does not have any pigments, it can be a sign of overhydration. While drinking water is essential, it is not advisable to drink too much, because you can suffer even intoxication. Presenting a completely pigment-free urine is not necessarily a warning signal, but it is not recommended.

Yellow

If the urine is pale yellow, it is a sign that you are well hydrated; If it's light yellow, you can rest easy, your urine is normal. However, if it is dark yellow, you should drink more water because you could be dehydrated. However, yellow pigmentation - low or high tonality - is relatively normal. There is no reason to fear.

Orange or reddish

If it is orange, you may be suffering from a hepatobiliary infection or you are too dehydrated. It is not an alarm signal as such, but you must pay attention. On the other hand, if it is red and you have not eaten anything of that color - like purple cabbage, blueberries or something with artificial colors - there may be some blood in your urine. Maybe it's due to some infection or kidney disease. You should do a check to rule out something more serious. It can be an alarm signal.

Brown

You may be going through severe dehydration. However, you should pay close attention if there is any remaining fecal matter in your urine. This would mean that there are serious problems with your bowels and you should go to the doctor before it gets even more complicated.

Blue or green

It is not necessarily a sign that something is wrong with health, it may be due to some food of that color that you previously ingested. Even if you have been taking medicine, your urine may be greenish. However, if this is not the case, it could be the result of an infection or a symptom of a more serious condition. You should go to the doctor immediately.

Blanca

If your urine is not translucent but cloudy or you notice that there are small particles of this color, it is very likely that you suffer a bacterial infection. Although this is the most common reason, it may be a kidney disease that needs to be treated.

Before having the reflection of going to the bathroom, the bladder retains 250 to 300 cubic centimeters of fluid. If not ejected, this amount may increase to 3 liters. It is then when it begins to inflate and are the muscles of the pelvis, in charge of controlling the outflow of urine, which help us to "vent" our interior.

According to science, enduring the urge to urinate is not in itself harmful, however, if this behavior is practiced often runs the risk of infection. It is necessary to pay attention to all the possible symptoms that appear throughout the day to know if something is wrong with our body. Checking our urine helps us that. Visiting the doctor when we have doubt is our responsibility.
