What is vitamins?
Vitamins are nutrients that cannot be created by the body and therefore must be taken in through diet.
However,vitamin D can be synthesized by our body when sunlight hit our skin. Furthermore, you can receive the vitamin D at mid-day from the sunlight once is 11:00am and 3:00pm during the spring, summer and autumn.Sometimes insufficient exposure to sunlight makes the need of getting vitamin D from our diet more critical.
There are only two ways which i know one can receives vitamin D . They include :
(1) Sunlight
(2) Foods we eat
Below are some health benefits of vitamin D :
(1) It makes the bone in our body get strong
(2) It reduce the risk of flu
(3) It reduce diabetes in our body
(4) It makes pregnancy healthy
(5) It healthy infants
(6) It prevents cancer
(7) It makes your skin last twice as long in the blood that the vitamin D obtained from the food or supplement.
FOOD WE CAN GET VITAMIN D
(1) Orange juice. You can get vitamin D from fortified orange juices. One 8-ounce glass of the juice usually has around 100 IUS of vitamin D,but the amount varies from brand to brand.
(2) Cow milk: Almost all the cow milk that are fortified with vitamin D ,but ice cream and cheese are not. So an 8-ounce glass of milk contains 100 IUS ,but sometimes the amount can be higher or lower and sometimes depends on how much is added.
(3) Fatty fish :
Fatty fish also has vitamin D because it contains salmon, trout,mackerel, tuna,andeel. A 3-ounce sockeye salmon fillet contains about 450 international units (IUS) of vitamin D.
(4) Egg youlks
Vitamin D in an egg comes from it yolk,its important to use the whole egg whenever we want to use it because one yolk will give you about 40 IUS. More again, it's not advisable to get your daily vitamin D from eggs because one egg contains 200milligrams of cholesterol and you know what means.
So there are excellent health-oriented reasons for achieving both morning sun and and noon sun. The most important aspect of Vitamin D is in building and maintaining strong bones,however, it also pays a significant role in immunity.
