I have been eating clean now for several months. By clean I mean no processed food and I try to get organic food whenever possible. And, as you may recall, I eat a plant based diet which includes a lot of fruit, vegetable, grains, beans, nuts and seeds.
Well, I have to tell you, my tastebuds have changed so much during this process of switching over to a clean diet. I can't eat a bag of chips, a cupcake, or a piece of pie without tasting the chemicals in it. This is very alarming because it just goes to show how much garbage is in processed food nowadays. Our bodies don't know what to do with this "stuff" and often will wind up storing it as fat. I mean think about it, you put in this foreign substance that was man made and your body doesn't recognize it as compared to when you eat something in its natural state; the body knows what to do and quickly goes to work!
So be careful, read those labels and better yet, shop the perimeter of your grocery store where the food is not in a box or container with loads of chemicals and preservatives!
I challenge you to eat clean for three weeks and let me know how you feel afterwards and what differences you notice! Try it, you won't be sorry! :)
I've always tried to eat fairly healthy, but with your help, I am making even more changes to my diet. I've recently added Hemp Seeds, which you suggested. They are protein rich and loaded with nutrients, and they taste great!
Very true! Shop the produce section and get organic when you can.
Good advice here; thanks for sharing!
