RE: I Have My Father’s Eyes (and possibly his cancer gene)

in #health7 years ago

I'm glad everything turned out well. My mom has to go in for a preop appointment on the Wednesday after Christmas because theyv'e found tumors in her kidney... so I have to admit I stopped reading part way through because I'm feeling pretty freaking stressed out and anxiety ridden about this topic.

I was happy to skip to the end and read that everything turned out okay. I've dealt with a scary lump before and it didn't go far before I knew it wasn't serious. Still, I can't imagine having to wait for long to know.

Makes complete sense, @byn - no worries. I'll keep your mother in my thoughts. Not sure if this helps, but the cancer my dad had was also kidney cancer - they removed the tumor, and he never had any follow-up treatment, or recurrence of cancer, for the rest of his life (he passed from unrelated causes about 12 years later).

Thanks so much for dropping by, and I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.

That is really reassuring! Thank you for that.

You're very welcome. Oh, and I just remembered - I have a few Chuck episodes to catch up on... 😃
