These pungent smelling vegetables are very good for people suffering from osteoporosis. This is because onions are loaded with a peptide known as GPCS which is known to slow the loss of Calcium from the body. They also contain Vitamin C and Folate and therefore they offer protection against heart disease and diabetes.
