Scientists have some warnings about bacteria that causes the Plague...

Of course, the black death was a bigger pandemic between 1346-1353.

Wikipedia states the following about black death:
The Black Death, also known as the Black Plague, Great Plague or simply Plague, was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 75 to 200 million people in Eurasia and peaking in Europe from 1347 to 1351.[1][2][3] The bacterium Yersinia pestis, which results in several forms of plague, is believed to have been the cause.[4] The plague created a series of religious, social, and economic upheavals, which had profound effects on the course of European history.
The Black Death is thought to have originated in the dry plains of Central Asia, where it then travelled along the Silk Road, reaching Crimea by 1343.[5] From there, it was most likely carried by Oriental rat fleas living on the black rats that were regular passengers on merchant ships, spreading throughout the Mediterranean and Europe.
The Black Death is estimated to have killed 30–60% of Europe's total population.[6] In total, the plague may have reduced the world population from an estimated 450 million down to 350–375 million in the 14th century.[7] It took 200 years for the world population to recover to its previous level.[8][9] The plague recurred as outbreaks in Europe until the 19th century.

What is the plague, or Yersinia pestis? According to the CDC:
Plague is a disease that affects humans and other mammals. It is caused by the bacterium, Yersinia pestis. Humans usually get plague after being bitten by a rodent flea that is carrying the plague bacterium or by handling an animal infected with plague. Plague is infamous for killing millions of people in Europe during the Middle Ages. Today, modern antibiotics are effective in treating plague. Without prompt treatment, the disease can cause serious illness or death. Presently, human plague infections continue to occur in the western United States, but significantly more cases occur in parts of Africa and Asia.

Clearly, it was more of an issue back in the Middle Ages, so what do we have to worry about now when plague deaths are lower and easier to treat? Well, the Telegraph published an article on March 1st, 2018, stating:
The bacteria that cause plague, or the Black Death, could be lying dormant in common soil and water sources, posing a serious public health risk, scientists have warned.
The finding, published in the journal Emerging Infectious Diseases, could explain why plague suddenly re-emerges without warning in countries such as Madagascar and even the United States.

Scientists have a difficult time understanding why, where, and when the plague outbreaks occur because there are so many locations and environments it can be present. In a recent study where they took soil samples where the bacteria is known to be they found something interesting:
The researchers identified amoebae, bugs that live in soil and water and which are known breeding grounds for disease, as possible culprits that are protecting the plague pathogens.
The team took soil samples from the burrows of the prairie dogs of northeastern Colorado, known hosts of the plague, to test their theory.
The researchers isolated five species of amoebae and then combined them with plague bacteria to see how they would react.
Using a genetically altered strain of plague that glows bright green the scientists observed the amoebae ingesting the plague. They then saw that the plague pathogens were alive and replicating in the amoebae.
The team says their research does not mean that this process occurs naturally but is an important theory because scientists have never properly understood how plague recurs after lying dormant.

David Markman led this study and it was reported that "his research had worrying implications for bioterrorism." He also stated:
'Some nefarious agent or actor could easily infect an amoeba and the amoeba could be spread into the water supply or sprayed over a crop field.'
'There are hundreds of other human and animal pathogens that can survive and multiply inside amoeba but throughout all humanity plague is the most deadly pathogen we have seen.'
Their goal is not for bioterrorism, but to understand the factors of the why, how, and where so they are able to coordinate with bigger organizations to help control or prevent this potentially devastating disease. Although, I can't help but find the timing very interesting because of the period of time we are occupying. From a Biblical perspective, I believe we are in a very particular season Yeshua warned of in the parable of the fig tree. Also, in the same chapter of Matthew 24, we see that plagues/pestilence will also be occurring.

We have been seeing all of these things such as earthquakes, proxy wars, and rumors of wars occurring at an alarming rate! The black death plague has been on the decline, but it doesn't mitigate the factor that it could outbreak to a larger level, mutate, or become a bioterror attack created by man. Those who are aware of End Time Prophecies, know that things will become very bad and intense for the Planet, including pestilence. It does not state how it will be administered or started, but we know that it will occur. I never knew it was lying dormant so close to my doorstep, but knowledge surely is empowering. Those who are wise will be prepared, and those who are foolish will not heed the words of the wise. It is better to be prepared and know what is going on than to be left unprepared.

I've felt a pulling within my heart to share the links again to emergency preparedness. As I've discussed recently, the talk of nuclear war is increasing by the day, and it is part of my duty and oath to uphold the truth and life, so I need to give those who are willing to listen, the resources necessary to help preserve their well-being. Again, here is a great Emergency Preparedness Reference from our Catholic EOC website. Find out below in the links how you can be spiritually prepared and right with God!
Be well!!

Great post. Signs of the end time are so clear now, may God help us all. Thanks for this great message.
Pretty frightening. If it were to have a mass outbreak again, I wonder if it would be more evolved and just as deadly if not more.
Scary to think how many people would be affected
This was a crushing horror for the whole world, and there's a strong chance similar plague will come again, even if the species is different. The CDC houses all manner of custom nightmares, waiting for one disaster to lead to another. Then and now, God is the only refuge to be had.
It wouldn't surprise me if the CDC has bred treatment resistant varieties of this, though I suspect airborne ebola may be in their bag of tricks as well
Planet Earth really has become quite unpredictable... and I wonder why?! There are literally new phenomena and treats (and some old ones resurfacing) popping up every week now, with the capability of wiping out a huge chunk of mankind... and it is all part of the 'end-times' scenario we are currently living through. Thank you for your insight, be love be light :)
I have always found the adaptability of the plague fascinating...
This is one of many chastisements from the Lord, when will they learn...
Emergency preparedness is important, in any situation. Always be ready for the unexpected...
