Why I No Longer Crave Junk Food

I've been carefully watching what I eat and trying to eat more this last week and having focused on healthy eating for so long, I had a piece of chocolate today, and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I used to. I would've preferred a piece of fruit, or some chicken with spicy sauce. Considering I used to binge on chocolate when I had some (which wasn't actually so often though) I think it's a really good thing.
And I managed to hit nearly 1200 kcal BEFORE dinner which start of this week i was struggling hitting 1000 kcal with dinner and dessert included.
My stomach hurts a little from eating so much so I do need to be careful but good progress nonetheless I suppose.

As long as you get back on track today, and you follow the diet more than you cheat the diet, you're doing well. Cheat days and cheat meals are important not just for mental well being, but to keep the body from adapting too well to calorie restriction. If you feel hungry all the time, or you have powerful cravings, consider eating bulkier food for the same calories, and especially with cravings, consider planning cheat days and cheat meals.
I've got several months of consistent diet and weightloss under my belt, and I have had cheat days, cheat months even, but overall I ate less and lost a ton of weight. Ironically the more you starve yourself with diet, the more likely you are to fail to lose weight and to hurt your health. So if you eat some stuff you didn't want to, chock it up to cheat meal and don't feel too bad.
