Hello everyone, this is my entry to The Weekly Steemit Health Challenge by @healthsquared and @sweetsssj which consist of show how you keep fit and active. Thank you fos this great iniciative.

First I want to talk to you a little about me. I’m from Venezuela, I’m passionate about healthy life. I like to exercise and help people with my humble knowledge about food and exercise.

From an early age I felt interest in how to have a healthy life, I have been collecting recipes and learning exercise routines. My intention was to participate in last week's contest of healthy food but I couldn’t. I'm very happy to be able to participate this week. My friend told me about this challenge and I am very grateful and happy to be in it.

Although I was always interested I didn’t always have a healthy life, I used to be overweight but I learned how to have a healthy life.

I like to exercise, I always go to the gym and I do exercise routines but I definitely prefer to exercise while having contact with nature. If there is something that identifies me, it’s jumping the rope. Everytime I go out to exercise, it doesn’t matter where I jump rope. On the mountain, gym, beach, in the rain ALWAYS jump the rope, it's my hobby.

Benefits of jumping Rope

  • It'll help you get faster. Working your legs with a jump-rope session will improve your cadence and stride.

  • Tone your body.
  • Help with your concentration.
  • It gives you muscle resistance.
  • Improve your aerobic conditioning.

I have a beautiful exercise partner. She is my dog, Caty. I met her on the mountain where I will always exercise and decided to adopt her. Caty is an exercise lover.

I have always done exercise routines near the mountain, there I met many friends who joined me to make a super training group. Throughout this time we have been collecting recycling elements to train as car tires. Step by step we have obtained the necessary elements to make our routines.

With much dedication everything can be achieved, I have learned it in all this time. I really like to encourage people to have a better, healthier life. If you're doing something right for you and enjoy it, share it with the people in your city. When I teach someone to be healthy, it makes me feel good.

Other of my hobbies is going to races in my country, I consider myself an athlete and as always I train I have some resistance for these challenges. Being surrounded by happy people at the races motivates me to continue with what I like to do. The races in my country are usually for the benefit of a good cause, we should all go to these events and support them.

According to studies indicate that...

  • Running outside is better than inside.
  • You burn more calories because of wind currents.
  • Accompanied by breathing fresh air will be something that will make you feel free and escape all your worries.

Something that I'm also passionate about is traveling and guess? IN MY TRAVEL I ALSO DO EXERCISES! haha I'm sorry, but traveling + exercise = absolute happiness. New places to go jogging? I can’t let them pass.

Something that can’t be missing in my week is to climb the mountain of my city, there everything began. It’s my favorite place in the world our mountain my mountain "El picacho" It is a very crowded mountain, I am lucky to have it near where I live. In it you can see people of all ages, children, girls accompanied by their dogs.

I enjoy doing Yoga in the mountains near my house. In Venezuela we only have two weather stations, in winter the mountain becomes a rainy jungle like fairy tales and in summer a hot desert where the calories come out of my body. My spirit surrenders to nature and we become one. It helps your joints and muscles to be in perfect condition, increases blood flow, lowers blood sugar levels AND MAKES YOU MORE HAPPY. I like to cook healthy food, food is part of a workout and diet. I always create my own recipes and recommend them to all my friends. before and after each training I have prepared the food that I will eat. Having a good diet increases your productivity during the day. A good diet will make you feel good, your mood will improve.

A long time ago I was overweight, people believe that losing weight is easy but it is not. You have to be brave and believe in yourself. People who are overweight usually have depression and health problems. If there is someone close to you that you think is going through overweight problems offer your help and your love, exercise and eat healthy together. Unit is power
