STRONG BREEZE NO BE RAIN

I just came across this and to me it captures the current happening in our association. Enjoy it !!!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Yesterday i heard one of the most profound statements ever in my life and surprising it was made by an illiterate Aboki by the road side. as i stepped out of my house to buy something, clouds soon gathered and heavy breeze began to blow, and people started running helter - skelter for cover from the unpending storm.

As trees were shaking violently and the breeze was carrying dust everywhere, one aboki just remained curiously perched by the roadside with his tray of fruits as though nothing was happening. i ran fast to take cover, worrying if i would get back to the house before the heavy downpour starts, and i heard someone shout to him: "Aboki, you no go pack your fruits enter inside"? in the most calm voice possible, i heard the aboki reply "oga strong breeze no be rain".
I laughed to myself when i heard it and thought about it until i got back indoors, glad that i escaped the coming rain. i expected the rain to begin to fall any moment afterwards, but to my surprise, it didn't.

In fact, it didnt rain a single drops for the rest of the day and by night people were out again going about their usual night time activity on the island. Eventually, it was at 7am this morning long after the strong breeze yesterday atfernoon, that was when the heavy rain began to pour and thunder followed that was when i remembered that aboki's statement "strong breeze no be rain".

I thought about how often people get shaken by issues that are of little consequence: how often we bow in the face of adversity that we just need a little courage to overcome; and how often people settle for less in the face of the slightest opposition when they can be so much more. and i thought to myself; from now on i will try and distingiush between rain and strong breeze.
Thank you Aboki; it is indeed true "Strong Breeze No Be Rain".
