Oral health implies much more than just healthy teeth and takes a much more prominent place in the overall health status of a person. It is known that the mouth of the cavity is full of bacteria, mostly harmless, and with adequate oral hygiene, the natural defense system of the organism is able to keep them "under control". However, in some cases, bacteria can escape control and cause local problems, such as caries or gingivitis (inflammation of the gums). If not reacted in a timely manner, bacteria break through the defensive barrier and enter the bloodstream, when they become extremely dangerous and responsible for numerous systemic diseases and pathological conditions. Sometimes systemic diseases at the earliest stage manifest themselves in the oral cavity. By timely diagnosis by a dentist, therapy can be started on time, so regular check-ups are invaluable for overall health.!
