How Sedentary Lifestyle Affect your Brain - by @dcrypto

Physical exercise of any kind is required for a healthy lifestyle. As per recent studies, sedentary lifestyle also shows negative effects on our brain particularly on the area where memory information is stored. Researchers in University of California Los Angeles performed a sample test on the group of people of years.

Different activities are performed with a different set of samples. Medial temporal lobe (MTL) is a region of the brain which is involved in storing and creating new memories. People with low physical activities have a thin layer of MTL over the time and people with good physical activities like more than two hours a day have stable memory formation.

Sitting too much is linked to changes in a section of the brain that is critical for memory, according to a preliminary study by UCLA researchers of middle-aged and older adults.

Though it is not confirmed that sitting idle or sedentary lifestyle are the main responsible for changing brain structures. It is only responsible for thinning certain areas of the brain. In addition to this, research scientists also preparing to prolong this experiment on a certain race, weight, and race of the sample in the age group of forty-fivers to seventy five years.

There are other challenges while considering the results of this research like how many hours the sample are sitting idle and if they are doing any physical activities what kind of activities they are performing. Researchers also predicting that thinning of MTL is associated with hereditary and metabolic changes in some age groups between 40’ and 75 years.

Irrespective of any research, maintaining good physical exercise is helpful for both physical and mental health. In your busy life style allow yourself for at least 30 to 60 minutes for exercising. Many problems like obesity, heart problems, and High Blood Pressure can be controlled with regular exercise and increases our chance of leading a healthier and longer life.

Agree! Exercise is king and nutrition is queen. Any type of exercise is great as long as you're doing something. I used to THINK and schedule the perfect workout routine, but I realize getting off your butt and doing something was better in the long run. Gotta start somewhere.

In most developing countries people are made to work as slaves. This leaves them with no time to work out or do any form of exercise. Most people leave for work at 6 Am and Return home after 7 PM or 8 PM. Leaving with them no time to exercise.

Certainly, exercise is very important for health. It's the first thing my doctor tells me when I go to the consultation, but how difficult it is sometimes to acquire the habit! thanks for Remember!

I agree with the active lifestyle. It is in our nature to move. However, I believe that technology and access to information will allow greater access to a balanced lifestyle. It's not easy in the beginning, but once you find the right market on the internet, it can be done!

Upvoted and followed. Coz id love to see more of these.

When im in the office all day i always try to walk around atleast every 2 hours. Sitting allday hurts my ass and back. Good one!

A great post!
I haven't been able to workout in the past couple of weeks (medical stuff) and my focus and energy are completely gone :(
We always tell our readers that being active is one of the most important parts of a healthy lifestyle, which I've been experiencing in the past few months since I started losing weight.
It literally has no negative effects, it can only improve your life :)

Good post, motivates me to get outside and get going!
