I'm not a fan of fruitarianism as it has too much sugar in it in general. However - I must say that when people switch from SAD to a fruit/raw diet they often put on weight simply because the body still has massive build ups of fats, cholesterol and plaques in the system. Now you've got rid of that by being oil free, you could likely tolerate a raw diet without putting on any weight and in fact would have a big increase in energy because the food would pass straight from your blood into your cells, when you have fat blocks then obviously it stays in your blood you get a big blood sugar spike feel good, and then an hour later crash and feel hungry - as you described in your post. So it wasn't so much a fruit issue, it was a fatty deposit issue from your old way of eating, you've cleared that doing starch and no oil :)

@aflatunnisa, my eating cookies, large meal portions and sitting all day drinking coffee with lots of cream is why I gained weight. I have never eaten just fruit, my diet has always consisted of meat, grains, legumes, fruit, and vegetables. My biggest food group is green leafy vegetables. I don't want to cut out any food group, but I have had to cut out grains and legumes because of my health issues.
