I think the mechanisms you talk about could very well be adopted to fix HBD once and for all. DAI works on Ethereum so why couldn't we have a system like that here. It's a no-brainer.

The thing I HATE about DAI is the needlessly exploitative interest rate for Makers. You don't charge someone interest on a loan they are collateralizing for 300%, that's just common sense. More on this tomorrow.
MKR - DAI would be future... You never know!!
