HashKings: Token Resources

Today I thought that I’d educate myself a bit more on the different token resources in HasKings. For you veteran farmers, lordly land barons and high quality seed producers, this is nothing new. But for new players like myself, this short intro to the token resources in HashKings might prove a useful reference.

Ah, sweet BUDS. The HashKings economical backbone. The BUDS token can only be created through HashKings Farmers work.

When you harvest your fully grown plants, they will yield a certain amount of BUDS. This varies depending on what land and what seeds you have access to. Each seed also has a set range of possible BUDS production.

The BUDS token has an unlimited supply, and new buds can only come into existence by Farmer’s harvesting plants.

BUDS are used to craft Joints, which level up your Avatar, or burned to receive MOTA tokens.

The burning of BUDS works like a rewards pool. You burn your BUDS in this pool and each day all the participants in the pool split exactly 1000 MOTA, based on their percentage on the entire pool of burned BUDS.

To produce any BUDS, you need water to water your plants. This is done using the HKWATER token. There are only two ways that you can get a hold of water in HashKings. First, but it on the market. Second, own or rent Water Towers.

Water Towers are a limited supply NFT and there were 19,000 Water Towers created. Each Water Tower produce HKWATER daily, at a set rate depending on the towers level.

At minting, each Water Tower began life at level 1. They can be upgraded up to level 10, each level increasing the amount of water they produce. To upgrade a Water Tower you need to meet a certain level requirement and the upgrade itself costs $1 per level.

The MOTA token is used for producing seeds. You stake your MOTA tokens in a specific region and each Sunday you’ll receive seeds from that region. This is if you meet the lowest requirement of staked MOTA in that region to receive any seeds.

The difficulty of obtaining seeds are staged exactly like the regions, with South American seeds requiring a very low amount of MOTA to get seeds, and Asia requiring significantly more MOTA to get even one seed.

There are two ways to get MOTA. First is to simply buy pure MOTA off the open marketplace, such as the Hive-Engine. The other way was mentioned above, burning BUDS in the daily MOTA rewards pool.

During my very short time playing and testing different features, I’ve found that the cheapest way for a new player to get MOTA is to buy BUDS on the cheap when the market dips a little, and then burdening those BUDS in the MOTA pool. As far as I’ve seen, buying pure MOTA is almost always the more expensive route to take.

Well, let’s get back out in the fields, these BUDS aren’t going to grow themselves (oh wait, they practically do).
