Right on. I'd agree, when Steemit gets stressful it defeats the purpose.

Can you change transition of your logo and in between scenes of the video? It would look much better if you did (or outsourced) your logo to appear in your own animation style :) just my 2 cents)

There is a million of patterns and there are lots of freelance designers who can make it totally custom . Your logo could be a bit simplier than in this videos, but it would give you some unique style.

Yes, I'm in the same boat. Actually Steemit has helped me a lot. I was writing for a newspaper and blogging. It was so tedious because I would re word everything for hours, days, weeks. When I decided to vlog I was forced to overcome my nit-picking and just get my thoughts out of my head. It's kind of therapy for me. It helps me feel creative and focus on my learning.
