I just broke 100 followers, thanks only to you! I am forever grateful to each, and everyone of you! You all rock! I seriously could not have done it without you. I have been learning to take my time, and create better content. I can hardly believe it happened this quickly, thanks for sticking around!
These pictures are kind of weak, but I just had to share, because this bird is so beautiful! This is a new kind of bird to me, I have not seen before. I have no idea what breed it is, I'd sure love to find out.
I will simply call the pretty bird "Redhead".
This is a photo not of the recent eclipse, but the last before that.
Goats at the petting zoo!
Flamingos!
Poor caged owl. He is so beautiful.
Upcoming projects include adding a main shut-off switch to my battery box. I salvaged this switch out of the same jump-pack/air compressor combo I mentioned in the solar joule thief setup article.
The switch is important, so I can easily cut power to everything. The power contained within this box could shock, and possibly kill. Certainly burn, just like any electronic device. The potential is there.
I cut out a piece of paper, and matched it up to the switch so I can cut the hole perfect size. Or at least, that's the outcome I am hoping for!
I will also be incorporating the salvage inverter into the box, cutting a hole, and gluing it's 110 vac outlet into the lid. This will make it very easy to use, as I've been planning to build this is such a way, anyone can operate it.
Fuse holder I will be using in the setup. This important safety device will be hooked up directly off of the positive post, that way should a short occur, there will be no fires or acidy explosions. I would never advise anyone to build anything of this sort without a fuse! This is the front line to potential disaster!
Close up of the fuse filament.
I plan on putting the switch directly above the voltmeter.
Perhaps I can do something like a lottery, and give the box away when I finish it, and reach either 500, or 1000 followers.
Don't forget, I have the joule thief built into the lid as well. That is a very cool device in itself! Of course, I would clean the box, and neutralize any acid with baking soda. It's a bit dirty now, but im sure it will clean up very nice.
I wouldn't be able to ship with the battery, but If one has a battery, the box would be very useful. I'd absolutely love If someone who really needed it and could/would put it to use ended up with it.
Pretty kitty, in a cage.. I hope kitty gets to taste fresh air again!
This beautiful beast, too! Runner up for worst photo, but the cat.. Free all kitties! :)
Goodnight, from the children and I! I just helped my oldest daughter aryfairly create a blog too, check it out!
