In the #safehands challenge, participants demonstrate proper handwashing technique in order to promote personal hygiene and contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Director-General of the WHO, Tedros Adhan Ghebreyesus, called on people to use their social media platforms to promote "regular, safe, and effective hand hygiene."
