Haircare: Hair Oil (Part 1)

in #hair7 years ago

Hey Guys! I'm back with a product that I've been loving for my hair but first I'll give you the run down on my hair's condition and what you should/shouldn't do. I have really straight dark brown hair that is thin. I believe I have a dry scalp that produces an excess of oil to compensate for the dryness. Overall, I have pretty good healthy hair.

What I don't do:
Use hot water to wash my hair
Use styling tools that need heat
Blow dry my hair with high temperature
Recklessly brush my hair without taking the knots out first
Brushing my hair in the shower
Scratching my head

There are many more things you should't do but let's end that there and get to what I love to do!

What I love to do:
Wash my hair every 3 days
Do a oil treatment overnight
Comb my hair carefully in shower or not
Use lukewarm water to wash my hair
Condition my scalp
Let my hair dry naturally
Use dry oil after my hair has dried

That last one includes the product I will introduce to you today. It is Dove's Pure Care Dry Oil. It was given to me by my boyfriend's sister as a gift. She noticed that I like to use a lot of different oils for my hair. This is one of the best ones I've come across.

The whole bottle gives me 100ml of oil that will probably last me forever because all I need is a small coin size on my palm. That's how little hair I have on my head. Seriously. Anyway, this oil has a deep floral scent that isn't too strong. It's very subtle like baby powder. It isn't thick or watery. Just the right consistency to be able to spread it on your hair. I try not to use thicker oils because it leaves my hair sticky.

If you feel your hair is too dry or a little dull, try using a dry oil. My hair always gets softer, smoother and gets a little more shiny than usual. I don't think I can go back to never using one again.

Haha, this made my day! Well, you could always keep your head moisturized with Cetaphil. I find this product to be hydrating for any skin type. Thanks for the comment and please keep the sense of humour!

No problem, thanks for reading the post! If you can just blow out your hair and straighten it with a brush, I think you can achieve the same effects without too much damage.

Thanks
