Banzai, merry company of haijin!
The 11th edition of Mizu no Oto – Every Image Has Its Haiku has come to an end.
The photo of the week differed a little from what we usually post, because instead of having a few distinct elements it was a little "crowded", moreover the natural element was in the background compared to the human one, though always present.
The reason for this choice is to give the participants every week something different, even thematically, trying not to repeat ourselves or not to direct the composition of haiku towards a single style. The results were very interesting, and very beautiful!
Some Info:
In case you want to become a core member of the @bananafish and sit at our round-table with the other Bananafish Knights, please note that new members enrollment will close by 10 December 2018. A minimum delegation of 50 SP is required to be part of the management group, although almost all the existing members are selflessly increasing their participation for the benefit of every participant.
If you aren’t yet in our Discord channel, The Bananafish Realms, please subscribe here: https://discord.gg/ZWmEUWT
We want to give you the warm welcome in the Tribe, and to chat together having a lot of fun!Last but not least: the Prophet and the Knights keep on working on the project. A treasure hunt where you will be able to choose your destiny through a labyrinth of stories and death-life choices... in the end, a rich reward of 10+ STEEM will wait for one lucky participant like a pot of gold under a double rainbow! This will probably happen after the Christmas holidays (regardless of our religiosity, our families demand attention and our minds rest).
Here are the winners of this edition!
Best Haiku award (2 STEEM):
Silent the harbor
Before the Sun turned white hot
So much life about
Week after week, Manoldonchev gave us many beautiful haiku. This time, his was the most responsive to the selection criteria, especially for the very light way with which he entered a summer kigo. In the photo, the season could not be easily deduced, but the brightness left little doubt. The third verse, moreover, represents well the vastness of existence, and its elusive borders, which recalls the ogosoka (厳 か) or "solemnity" principle.
Popular Choice award (1 SBI share):
Desde los puertos:
¿Qué tantos sueños fluyen
surcando el mar?
**
From the ports:
How many dreams flow
sailing the sea?
This week we had only two valid votes. One for this debutant in the contest, a category that has always reserved us beautiful surprises. The other that was divided between @aurodivys and @marcybetancourt. In the end, we privileged the vote that had been correctly assigned to a single participant. The existential question raised by the haiku contains a piercing pregnancy, like a cry of empathy for the human condition.
Our two awesome winners achieve the right to decorate their footer with this exclusive and beautiful banner by @f3nix:
The banner is customizable with the name of the winner. Please, contact @f3nix on Discord or via comment if you like this option.
Best vote comment (1 SBI share):

It is a photograph of marked simplicity and serenity the one that presents us @f3nix. I wouldn't know which season of the year it corresponds to. Some indicate summer. It is a little difficult for a person like me, who lives in a tropical country (Venezuela), to elucidate with precision, because here every day (except a few exceptions) there is sun. I appreciate valuable exercises like @blueeyes8960, @javert68 and @stever82, but I prefer @aurodivys and @marcybetancourt. I think they achieve those qualities that the Japanese tradition calls Shiori, Karumi and Mono no aware, by giving an account of the situation of things (ships), of the context (sea) and of time (day) in confluence, warning of the presence of the future: the work of man.
The comment opens a window on some characteristics of a tropical country, which could go unnoticed in everyday life and that, in the case of a season-oriented poetry such as haiku, can make the outcomes very different depending on the latitude to which the writer is located. These small windows are wonderful, since we can learn about other countries’ everyday life.
Domo arigato gozaimasu to the other awesome participants: @stever82, @blueeyes8960, @moonprincess, @salvao, @javert68justice, @felixgarciap, @oacevedo, @kipswolfe, @cyemela, @theironfelix, @evagavilan, @naylet, @aurodivys, @marcybetancourt, @jayna, @kennitgabriel, @kimberlylane, @marlyncabrera, @tristancarax.
Keep on writing beautiful haiku!
See you very soon for the new edition of Mizu No Oto tomorrow, Friday 7th Dicember!

Congratulations to the winners!
Wow, thank you so much for your appreciation and analysis. I must admit most of what you found there came on a subconscious level, without me giving that much thought about guidelines this time. I even thought I wouldn't actually fit any of those.
I am happy about the banner. So, @bananafish, @f3nix, could you please tell me what's the right way to use it? Can I put it in other writing related posts of mine? Also, I am usually posting an image with a haiku daily on Instagram and sharing those here with @share2steem. Good idea to show it in those posts?
Also, how? As a copied image or a code I can find on Discord?
Thank you once more!
Yours,
Manol
Hi Manol!
I think that this is the best level, that of intuition, from which a sparkle of beauty can be born.
About the banner, I'll personalise it with your name asap. It's usage is free and witnesses the quality of your work. No need to say, keep it's design as it is 😉 I'll DM you once done. Cheers!
Thanks, @f3nix, I just came to bananadiscord. My nickname on Discord is Orcrist and I usually update it in certain channels to correspond to my steemit one. Will be waiting :) I am thrilled about it, really.
congrats to the winners always fun to try.
