One thing I have come to realize is that planning for the long term is difficult, whether it is building our finances, our marriage, or even our health. It is not always easy because we can't get instant gratification. We are all focused on what we can see now, and most importantly, what we can show people now. The main reason most people struggle with their finances is because they care so much about how people feel about them, which will make them feel better, but not how the money could compound and set them free in the future. They want to feel the moment.

We all want to demonstrate how blessed we feel and how important we are. We want to eat a McDonald's burger and taste the sweetness running down our throats. However, everything we do in life, whether good or bad, has consequences. If you consume only McDonald's burgers for a prolonged period, it can lead to various illnesses. Similarly, if you continue to spend money just to make an impression on others, you might end up broke if you don't take action. Our actions have consequences that compound over time, and it's important to be mindful of this trap.

The trap that kills many dreams

We have many habits that keep us stuck in a cycle. Even though we know they are bad for us, we continue because the immediate satisfaction they bring is more important to us than the long-term consequences. If we want to change our lives, we need to break free from this trap. These habits are dangerous because we don't feel their effects right away, and when we engage in them, it doesn't seem like anything is wrong.

Sometimes it is too late to make changes because these habits may have destroyed us from within after years of compounding, people always fail to change because it always feels like they are been deprived of enjoyment and this may be true and I also agree that nothing comes easy and if you want to have a better future you must be willing to let go of instant gratification and its feeling. This may come as an urge or a craving we must be able to put this feeling in check and try to balance our lives so that we feel deprived of the things we want and need and still be able to make the right choice.

making the right choice

Doing the right thing is not always easy. A good example is when you see your friends buying everything they want, while you are being frugal because you are trying to save for the future. This may be difficult, but it is rewarding. If we all got instant results for everything we do, it would be better. However, it's important to remember why we are making the choices we do now because it will keep us on track and help us overcome the feeling of instant gratification that has been holding us back for years.

Thanks for your time.

Habits aren't always the best but I do agree. It's hard to really change what you are doing even when you know it's not the best. For example, I find myself eating out a bit because I am too lazy to cook but I should cook because its cheaper.

We have more people in life who wants to enjoy life to the fullest without actually thinking of the consequences of their actions. No one wants to look or appear poor.
