Guru Padmasambhava: The world's tallest and largest statue
It is considered as the world tallest and largest Guru Padmasambhava's statue ever built in the world. Seated on the 38 feet lotus, it measured 154 feet. It is built on the glorious hill of Takila (place name) overlooking the sleeping valley of Tagmachu (name of a village) and ascending Minjey (name of a village ) under Lhuentse district in Himalayan kingdom Bhutan. The statue was built under the noble initiative of late Eminence Khenpo Karpo (1934-2017) . At present, the statue has become a main source of tourist attraction and pilgrimage site in Eastern Bhutan owing to the breathtaking and mystic statue being built.
