The Gun Ban Is Not what It Seems

in #guns7 years ago

I was just reading about how high school students from around the country are walking out of their classes for gun control. Apparently this is supposed to mean that they’re all united and that the public wants guns to be banned. Back when I was in high school I would use absolutely any excuse to get out of class. If I saw students walking out of class, and they were getting away with it, I was all in! So, does this mean that this is much of a conscious decision on the part of these mislead students, probably not.

The problem is that this movement is not about gun control, it never was. The media and the talking heads make the gun control prospect seem so “reasonable”. It’s like you remove guns from the equation and all crime just stops, why wouldn’t we all want that? It’s ridiculous. Since the beginning of recorded history when was there ever a time period that did not have a war going on? Killing has been perpetual, violence has been perpetual. But, that’s not what this is about.

Have you noticed that the largest arms dealer in the world (the United States) is the country with the daily news headlines for gun control? Not for the government though, just for the people. There has been no talk of disarming the government, this isn’t a ban across the board. That would be crazy talk. This is a ploy to disarm the people, nothing more, nothing less. Why not propose talking everyone’s guns away including the governments? If they really want to ban guns why can’t this include everyone?

The idea is that civilians don’t need the same kind of guns that the government has because those are “weapons of war”. However, the US constitution was written in such a way that it guarantees the right of the people to bear arms to protect themselves from tyranny (as in a tyrannical government). Somehow it seems like they have people tricked into thinking that they can stop mass shootings if they give up their right to defend themselves. And, they are giving up their guns to the thing that they were given the right to defend against. It is very apparent that most Americans haven’t made this connection.

The problem with giving up your rights is that it’s very difficult if not impossible to get them back.

Rights, what are rights. I don't need a "right" to own a gun. Just come and take it away from me and we'll see who still any rights.
