Before I started building AR15s' I had first bought some older rifels. They were cheap and available when I was getting into shooting. ARs's were popular and expensive.
This is a 1967 SKS I bought from a serviceman in my area off armslist. I hated the stock but knew I could change it and the price was right at the time.
So change it i did, as well as add optics. Just a cheap little utg. Later I removed the scope and bipod, but the stock remained.
I loaded it up, allong with my 1934 mosin nagant in a new synthetic monte carlo stock and my buddies 8mm mauser in original wood and his sks with a stock like myown.
My buddy and I went out to the BLM land in the hills and set up some targets.
We even set some way TF out there to play around, I was still pretty new at that point.
The sks did better without the scope than with it so i took it off, the mount wasnt great, but the gun shot perfect. And that thumbhole stock was so comfortable, it hugged your arm.
Hope you like the pics, thanks for checking out my post. Follow and upvote ill do the same.
