Anyone who’s been keeping up with Youtube’s algorithm probably has whip lash by now. It changes faster than pop music trends, and as a creator it feels like I’m playing Golf with varying degrees of gravity every five minutes. I’m not trying to bash Youtube. Actually, I LOVE Youtube. But the fact of the matter is, they have not made things very easy for creators. I’m sure there are people who work for YouTube that have a genuine respect for creators like myself, but as a whole YouTube has been hostile. Do Hollywood studios have to worry about Movie Theaters suddenly shutting their doors? Of course not. In that arena, Hollywood holds the cards. The Theatre doors won’t shut unless those Hollywood movies consistently bomb. In the case of Youtube, which for all intents and purposes IS a distributor, they act like THEY hold the cards. Which was true for a long time, that is until platforms like Steem came along. I know these platforms still have a long way to go, but they are indeed making a difference. I know this because my channel was chugging along nicely until I was demonetized for featuring guns. The result? I am now moving to Steem! So I present to you “Guns And Glory!” A show that features Jim, an inventive redneck who likes to make all sorts of things on his little spread of land. The first episode features an exploding Arrow. Katniss he is not, but he is pretty smart. I hope you all enjoy!
