Because supposedly America is a developed nation. You are talking about anarchy and things out of fictional tales.
Is this what you think? Care to illuminate for everyone and myself included as to where and why you think I am talking about anarchy and things out of fictional tales (which tales are those, my own?)
Because supposedly America is a developed nation is the reasoning to Why are you asking about it happening in developed nations, as if Crazy people CAN be prevented from doing Crazy things by words on a piece of paper? So Developed Nations Prevent Crazy People from doing Crazy Things, besides America? Why are you asking about it happening in developed nations AS IF Crazy PEOPLE can be PREVENTED from DOING Crazy Things by words on a piece of paper!? The only reason is that you think that indeed words on a piece of paper can compel crazy people and think that America isn't doing the right thing as it seems to be the only Developed Nation to still suffer from "GUN" Problems, when it's not a GUN Problem, never has been a GUN problem, but only a Problem of Spree Killing.
Crazy People cannot, and they have never been prevented by words on a piece of paper, and for that matter of fact nobody worth their salt would be compelled by them either. Yet, everyone should suffer because of one, the mentality of punish everyone for the act of one is irrational, without limit to it's reach, and immoral, evil, wrong.
Persuading People it is wrong to Own Weapons because some did some things with weapons and that means nobody can be trusted by Intimidating them with Law which in any effect would be completely Invalid and counter to the Law of the Land will never escape the problematic basis of FORCE vs Consent, especially in America, where we told the King to Shove it.
Right, Australia still has problems, but what they don't have is a gun problem and that is the issue at hand in this discussion.
They never had a "Gun Problem" they had a Spree Killing Problem which still persists. Need I remind you that not long ago someone took hostages with a shotgun and could have easily killed more than one. Instead of people being able to respond to threats with appropriate means they are left unprotected from those who don't have any regard from the law and those that want to cause harm will do it in an environment MADE to be vulnerable to such people. Protect yourself against a Remote Controlled Napalm Gun without guns.
Do you really think that arming everyone to the teeth would create a peaceful and working society?
Why do you think it wouldn't? Who would be robbing or threatening when everyone can whip out a Gun and Shot you Dead, and their peers would rule them innocent by temporary insanity/Anger, they didn't have to feel threatened to use the gun, you only need to be rude and belligerent enough to get killed by a pissed off individual who sees red. Nobody would dare step on peoples rights or fuck with people even, everyone would be polite to the stranger in the night and everyone could respond promptly to anyone wielding a gun, so that if they open their mouth and hurl some insulting nonsense they better be ducking for cover because they have made their peace with the lord then and there, and the same when the neighbors all join the shootout, and running away will get you shot in the legs, or you'll get unlucky and o Well, shouldn't have started shit in the middle of the night and ran away from a stiff corpse.
Peaceful indeed, working indeed. Nobody could take advantage of those without guns. There would be Immediate Return Fire and not 75 minutes for police to arrive after the massacre has been mostly concluded. There won't be Easy Picking Gun Free Zones.
The real question is, Do YOU think that taking guns away will stop people from Spree Killing? I argue that this would only backfire, as people could create Improvised Weapons and nobody could protect themselves against these weapons. I said Educate them in their use and arm everyone because that is the only way to prevent people taking advantage of unarmed people, as everyone was Helpless in the face of the Las Vegas shooter.
Do you think you'd feel safe walking around at night knowing everyone is packing weapons in their pants.
Do you think you'd be safe if you ban people from owning and bearing guns because some people do awful things with guns and do you think it's right to wield such authority over such matters all because Certain individuals, or you don't think that it's amounting to punishing everyone for the acts of others?
Do you think that countries where citizens don't own weapons are living in a police state?
Why do you say that? Do you think that I implied or said something to that effect anywhere, and I want to hear which country's citizens don't own weapons
