It would come from other cryptocurrency and it would make the price of GRC go up because of the buy pressure. What's wrong with having more compensation from donations? If the marketing message is right and people are willing to rain then what is the harm?
I'm not really criticising your idea :) I see no harm if it would be based on donations. Might not be that difficult to set up.
