update Sep. 6:
- new test WUs are available, see here
---
You probably still remember from 4 weeks ago:
The SourceFinder admin has now made progress:
- "created a beta test app for SoFiA. I'll be running test work units through this app until I've ironed out all significant issues."
- "If you wish to help me run test work units, you can set your project preferences to allow beta test apps" here
For those interested, the work is all CPU based and will only run if you have Virtual Box installed alongside BOINC. The WUs are also extremely buggy and prone to compute errors.
As the volume is low, and the dev is doing testing in house, I would give it a few weeks till there is real work.

Is it planned to add Sourcefinder back on the whitelist once it has a steady supply of work units?
I'd think so.
Keep in mind, it was removed before even the poll about its removal finished (see entry: August 5).
So, I guess the same way it can be added again, without a new poll.
Wait why? So what is the point of this announcement then , its not a gridcoin WL project? Yes was winning on the vote , it has ssl... It's a project already with established relations to Gridcoin via another project. What the hell is going on with this community and project votes? also per CPU only GREAT! Some of us are not lucky with massive 1080ti's or 10x0 series in general so more for us awesome , still need more GPU projects too..
Because we got confirmation from the project admin that there wouldn't be any work units for several more weeks. We had people earning hundreds of GRC a day from leftover mag from when there were work units, with no competition. I think it was right to remove it from the whitelist, it could have hurt gridcoins legitimacy if it stayed in much longer due to people making tons of money from doing literally nothing.
