    how exactly do bounties work? is there some formalized system for donating funds, or is it just a forum post?

    See e.g.here:

    • there is a Gridcoin address where people can send their donation to (this makes sure the person who wants the bounty later also gets the bounty fast)
    • it also specifies the conditions for the bounty being paid out (of course as donator you could specify more conditions)
