Gratitude day 15: He came through for me

in #gratitudeday156 years ago (edited)

You don't need to have 30 billion or own a G-wagon before you show gratitude to God. Joy is not conditioned to physical things.
If the only time you thank God is when you get a good thing, what will you do if such is not forthcoming? Depression? No!

I could remember on the 3rd of March this year when I had an accident on my way back from work.
The Jeep ran over my leg from the back. It could have been a hit and run, but thank God for good Samaritans who were able to ran and caught up with him. I was rushed to the hospital.

IMG_20180305_123422.jpgThe leg was stitched which was expected to be loosen after seven days, but unfortunately when it was the seventh day the nurse said she can't loosen it because it has not healed up enough so I will have to wait for another seven days, though I am still to come for cleaning of the wound.
My next appointment, I met with a senior doctor who insist the suture be loosened immediately.

To my amazement the doctor said some part of the leg has been affected so the cells are dead which he has to cut off those part.
In a nutshell, practically most of the flesh at the back of my leg was cut off. At a point, the doctor said some parts are deeply affected which he has to cut out and invite a plastic surgeon for consultation.

At that point, I thought all hope has ended. I personally convinced myself that I won't be able to work again, because as at that time I can't do anything on my own, I can't even make use of crutches.
A friend of mine has been the one to back me while going to the hospital, if I want to use the rest room and all that. All I do is to just sit at a spot with pains.

To cut the long story short, the surgeon came, inspected the leg and concluded I have to do a skin grafting.
I was scared of the surgery and how to raise the fund, But God came through for me. Help rises where I list expected.
(you will ask me what about
the man who knocked me down?...
The first day the incident happened was
the first and the last time I saw the man. He never showed up again).

Someone, who does not know me from Adam, paid for the surgery and it was successful.
For you to know how great God is, in less than three weeks, I was able to stand on my feet, take few steps and today am back, fit and better. IMG_20180513_220729_827.JPG

I am not writing this epistle for pity-sake, but to let you know that no matter how bad the situation you found yourself, always remember that God is with you and he is always faithful despite our unfaithfulness.

I am thanking God because in my trying times, he come through for me, each and every day of my life he has always given me reasons to say THANK YOU GOD.
I also want to thank my friend and boss @japfive for ur concern during this time, you re overly loved.
Also @tojukaka thanks for setting this pace of showing our gratitude.

If you have in any way had any health issues, you ll know that 'health is wealth' and you ll always have reasons to thank God for giving you good health for nothing in return.
