Optimism

Optimism is acceptance of reality. It is to acknowledge the joys and sorrows, ups and downs,.. everything about life. It means to enjoy the good but also to acknowledge the pain. More than mere acceptance of the pain, to be optimistic is to look beyond the pain with belief that everything will turn out for the best.

Those who are optimistic understand that problems are not road blocks but they are stepping stones to success. They may not necessarily smile through hardships but after grieving, they are able to wipe their tears, to stand up and to move forward. For them, pain is not a reason to give up but an inspiration to look beyond the hurdles and continue moving forward.

Optimism doesn’t worry about what could be but appreciates what is. Optimism doesn’t live in the world of ‘what ifs’ but enjoys ‘what is’.

More than a hinge of gratitude, optimism is the source and end of gratitude. Things may not look promising but because you know you are in God, you have the reason to be optimistic.
