Try again.
Maybe this time you'll make it.
It's so close, you swear you can taste it,
smell it,
touch it,
feel it.
But in a second, one blink of an eye,
it's gone again,
leaving emptiness and bitter mouth.

And this little voice in your head
tells you it will never be completely, truly yours.
Why? You wonder...
Don't we all deserve to have it?
But happiness is not something we can reach
or put in our pocket for later.
No, happiness is clever.
It will make you chase it
for years, until you give up
or until you realize this entire time,
you've been trying to catch something that
is already inside of you.
It always was there.
And it always will be.
