We were sent by our company to Hongkong for a 3 day show which showcase Asia's the best products.
With 1 day alloted for recreation, we decided to visit HK Disneyland
If you have the day or just a few hours, Hong Kong Disneyland is worth a visit.
Transitioning to the Hong Kong line extension is a treat for excited guests and kids. There is a special Disney train from Sunny Bay station. It just goes one stop and is fun in itself since it is Disney themed with Mickey Mouse shaped windows and hand grips. It also had classic Disney character statues. You use your octopus card as per any other Hong Kong train.
It’s a short walk from the station to the park.
The full price for adults was $589 or 3934.52 Php, so expensive for me but thinking that this will be my first and last visit in hongkong so decided to grab the opportunity.
Now I still keep my ticket in my wallet for remembrance.
As we entered the gate The Electric Parade started down Main Street I was mesmerized by the colorful big toys and upbeat music.
Riding at Hyperspace Mountain? A definite must do at Disneyland! Space Mountain is transformed into Hyperspace Mountain and Star Wars themed. The music during the ride is music from Star wars, I really enjoyed it. Feeling like I'm in the outer space The drops, twist and turns at super high speed were exhilarating. It is all in the dark!
Mickey and the Wondrous Book. The live musical show takes you through a magical book where the characters come to life.
This musical has the largest ever production celebrating 7 beloved Disney stories. The characters that lead guests through the journey are Mickey, Goofy and Olaf! Adorable as ever! I’m totally impressed how they had Olaf moving about on stage without legs. Still haven’t figured out how! There’s even a scene where a character jumps from onstage into the magical book seamlessly. Pretty mind boggling how that worked.
The show was great.
My favourite part is when Elsa appears and sings the Frozen theme song, Let it Go. Beautiful! The coolest thing is that it then snows in the theatre! OMG. I was totally giddy with excitement, can you imagine how epic it’s going to be for you.
What’s also impressive is the new costume technology that enables Mickey and Goofy to have moving mouths as they speak . If you think about it, that’s not how it usually is. So this takes the show to a different level.
Together with the stunning voices of all the cast members and impressive special effects throughout the show, the whole theatrical production is very enjoyable and uplifting. Magical indeed!
Another one of my favourites, this is really a class act, like being in Broadway without spending hundreds of dollars in tickets. The Festival of the Lion King is fantastic, the music, the acrobatics, the costumes, the stage, the choreography, the interaction with the public, it all combines to offer a truly spectacular production.
The play is based in the Lion King movie and tells the story of Simba. It is mainly in English, with little snippets in Cantonese, and subtitles in Chinese are projected on the screens.
Welcome to the Jungle, and the land of the Lion King, Tarzan, and River cruise
Say good-bye to civilization and come into Adventureland, a jungle-themed area of wild animals, savage headhunters, rain forests. A lush island awash with dense vegetation and wilderness is at the center, with Tarzan's Treehouse as its main feature. The Jungle River Cruise adventure circles the island bringing eager safari explorers on a fun and excitement.
The Jungle River Cruise is one of the coolest rides in the park. Your safari guide takes you on a river adventure through the jungles of the world.
Weather conditions are treacherous, so be prepared for some showers and as you cruise by the Sacred Temples, pay attention that the Fire and Water Gods are not acting up again, if they are, you might get caught in the middle of either a tsunami, a blazing river of fire.
We end the night in disney land in watching a spectacular fireworks display. The fireworks used to start at about 8:30 pm.
This place is so Disney, I think HK Disneyland is a place to relive your childhood.
