why

In 1991, I moved back in with my parents, my 1yr old son in tote from an abusive relationship with his father. I was back in the chaos that I'd run from 3 years prior. My son had an ear infection and it wasn't bad enough to do anything medically at the time, just a toddler tugging on his ear. That afternoon he had started seizing and it scared the he'll out of me. I ran out the door with my baby in my arms and was gonna head for the hospital. My neighbor was a nurse and got me calmed down and we awaited the ambulance. That day changed my life. My son had 8 seizures after that first one. The last one he was 3 and it was complex and he had to me medically comatosed. I learned so much in 6 days and everything I possessed was on the line as I researched like no other to understand what was happening and what to do next. I was up against Drs the state my family and it felt like the devil himself. I got educated very quickly and found a way and by the grace of God it worked. This was a new life.
