Good morning Steem!
Well, it's the second day of my mining rig being fully up and running. I've had a couple little petty issues that I've been working on but one that will NOT go away. I have 1 GPU lagging.
While the other 4 are mining their butts off, 1 GPU just wants to play around. I have reinstalled drivers, turned off the entire rig and reseated all connections, etc. When I reboot the rig, it goes from GPU#0 (the first GPU) to GPU#4 (the fifth GPU) and vice versa.
Unfortunately, I'm all out of ideas. Any Steemians out there that might be able to help me resolve my issue? Also this doesn't just happen with 1 miner, it happens with all different ones.
Notice GPU0 in the pic
From the screenshot we don't know if the overclock is the same or even the GPU's are the same
Furthermore, it would not be weird if one GPU performed differently. Performance due fluctuate from card to card. You might just have been unlucky in the silicon lottery.
They are all the same. NVIDIA 1060 SC single fans. Ordered and installed at the same time. If I was unlucky at the silicon lottery, then what would explain the lower hashrate shifting from GPU0 to GPU4?
By silicon lottery I just wanted to refer to the slight differences that chips has. Yes the 30'ish sols/s is high, but you might just have a chip that is of a lower quality than the rest. Have you checked temperature, voltage, core clock? is the GPU in question blocked or have restricted airflow?
All temps are within 1 degree of each other, voltage and core clock are the same.
Hmm, if you have the opportunity to bench the cards individually you might find out if the GPU is fine or the software is faulty. Sorry I'm out of good ideas, hope you find a solution!
