‘Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin’ (Romans 4:7-8).
In the past, I used to think that blessed people had to be faultless. If I saw things probably going wrong in people's lives who were born again, I would immediately start looking at their lives to find out their faults. I was under the illusion that the reason I enjoyed the effect of the blessing was due to my faultlessness. I was so wrong.
Beloved, as a matter of fact to be blessed primarily means God isn’t imputing your sins, mistakes and faults against you because you are in Christ Jesus; as a result, you are enjoying heaven's best here on earth.
When you realize that God isn't imputing your sins against you, you can then rise to become everything that God wants you to vitally become. That’s the blessing.
As a child of God, you have been declared righteous in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). The Bible says in Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”
You are, therefore, blessed because you believe in the finished works of Jesus, and that primarily means that you are in Christ Jesus and your sins are eternally forgiven.
When you know and believe that your sins are forgiven, the power of the blessing is activated much more and things begin to vitally work out very well for you in life. Like Abraham, you will see God’s favor open doors for you and cause good things to vitally happen for you. The crux of the blessing is that God has forgiven you ALL your sins.
The blessing is not essentially a great spouse, a nice car, a new suit etc. it is the fact that you are a New Creature in Christ Jesus and all your sins are eternally forgiven; and as you walk in this consciousness, all those good things will begin to vitally come to you from God.
Beloved, you are blessed in Christ Jesus. Understand that your sins have been completely forgiven and whipped away, even if you have challenges and difficulties, you don't run from God, you rather run to Him and receive grace to live above those challenges (Hebrews 4:16). Blessed people aren't faultless people; rather they are people whose faults have been forgiven. Their sins are not imputed to them, because they were imputed to Jesus on the Cross (Romans 4:23-25).
It doesn't matter where you live or what you are going through, know that you are not there because of something wrong that you have done, even if you made wrong decisions and did put yourself in trouble, Jesus is right there with you to make waters to come out of rocks for you. Why? Because you are in Christ Jesus, and in Him, you are blessed and forgiven of all your sins.
Thought Line: in Him, you are blessed! And your sins are not imputed unto you.
Say this with me: *GOD has forgiven me all my sins and because of this I am blessed. I am blessed because of Jesus. It is because of the blessing that I do the things that I do. I’m righteous; I’m forgiven and highly favored! I live in wealth and glory!
