Hey guys!
Today I'm going to show you how to record your SENA Bluetooth Audio (or any other Bluetooth headset) so that you can overlay the audio onto your video file during editing.
This method would be used when you don't have a dedicated audio recording device attached to your GoPro (or any other action camera) such as a microphone or a SENA backpack for the GoPro.
Firstly you will need to download Cinema FV-5 from the Play store. The LITE (Free version) doesnt work very well and crashes constantly so unfortunately you will need the full version (Pssst, just google "Cinema FV-5 APK" and choose the first link ;) )
Google play link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flavionet.android.cinema.pro&hl=en
If you don't like reading skip straight to my video at the end of the page.
So now that you have that done you will need to do the following:
1. Start up the APP
2. Tap on the options tab to open up the settings
3. Scroll down to audio settings
4. Under audio source choose "Bluetooth Mic"
5. Scroll back up to video settings
6. Now select your video resolution that you want to record with
(If you are recording an actual video with scenery etc then use the highest quality video. If, like me, you are
just recording for the audio you can choose the lowest video resolution as this will reduce file size without
impacting the audio quality at all.)
7. No turn on your Bluetooth headset and pair it with your phone.
8. Once its paired make sure that the app is picking up the Bluetooth source by starting a recording and doing
some test speech or sounds.
9. And that's it! Now you can record yourself speaking through your headset while having your camera record
remotely. You can place the camera wherever you like while still being able to have a voice over on the video.
This could be useful for narrating a task or a how to video etc where you can't be behind the
camera all the time.
Pros:
• Small file size when recording at a lower resolution
• LOTS of settings for video if you know what you are doing. Far more settings than most apps include.
• Highly customizable
Cons:
• The app will corrupt the video file if you get a phone call...Highly frustrating but I suggest turning your phone
to airplane mode and doing your recording and then turning it back to normal to avoid any incoming calls.
• You cannot pair more than one Bluetooth device together and record both audio sources... If you pair to
another headset and then record the app will default back to the phones microphone and be useless.
So hope that was helpful to some of you!
Please let me know what you guys think! :)
Cool)
Thank you :)
