I wanted to find out what 'Google Autocomplete' has to say about different countries in the world. I typed “Should [country]” into Google for many different countries and let Google finish the sentence. The results are pretty accurate.
Almost every country in Europe considers to leave the European Union, according to Google. China considers to invade North Korea and Mexico should pay for the wall of course. Meanwhile, France should ban the burkini and the world still seems not sure if Germany has yet to be punished for World War 1.
Data is beautiful :-)
It took quite some time to make all images. I hope you like it :)
ahahaha this is the best one... we are not that good playing 6 nations plus the 3 other points are related to the actual fact that we should leave the euro currency.
I will use this comment to thank you for the great website you have created steemnow that I am using regularly and thank you for the up votes I am receiving from you!!!!

u know google is just displaying your own personality back to you. The same behavior will yield different outcome to different people, depending on your search history and online personality in combination with the particular sentence you enter.
As an example u can see that i am into crypto and looking to buy a car and house currently ....
Yes indeed! Google's big data is unbelievable.
I've used the igcognito mode in my browser when I made the screenshots, although Google can still follow me based on my IP address.
and UHID
ahhh hehehe. Of course i did not have to tell YOU this. What was i thinking!!!!
The very reason I do not use google search and I try to avoid most of their 'sevices' like pest.

Obviously the most important question here is "should Turkey be pink?"
I suspect Google was referring to the bird, not the country 😉
You got my upvote and resteem DANG LOT OF WORK MY FRIEND! ALOHA AL
Also it dependes on the region where you search for it. For Germany I get some different results:
I think a search for the same via a VPN with search results with incognito mode, new ip for every search and ccleaner after each search. That would be an interesting study.
If you go with an Russian IP for example in google maps you will see Crimmea as part of Russia :))
Interesting take. Love your take on this. Google does answer to a higher power and are influence of course. Setting up their search engine to conform to these "powers" that be makes sense. Made me think hard on this point. Good post. Very insightful..
Thnx. Appreciate you. Will continue to follow your posts.
Should Netherlands.... Well interesting that Google says most EU countries wants to leave the EU, but the fact is that most countries do not want to leave the EU. So maybe an inverse filter shall be put to Google results :)
Haha!! That's pretty awesome!!
I just tried it for my own country:
It scares me to think that people are just googling these questions. "I wonder what the answer to these complicated political questions are? Let's ask Google!"
We live in a world that has relegated critical thought and promoted celebrities and products. It is amazing how little people are willing to invest in the topics that affect them and how much they are willing to invest in topics that are approaching meaningless.
Yeah, it's terrifying. People consuming almost unregulated information. We are doomed.
very interesting. This is what i got for my country

LOL, looks like we're all obsessed with leaving and joining the EU :-P
Intetesting. And I typed "should Indonesia" .....
I'm surprised the US results don't have any results about Trump, lol.
That was a really fun thing to look at! Thanks for spending the time to capture the images ;)
More than the google results I was amazed by the uniqueness of the idea 😜
Should Australia 'become a republic' was the top result -- good experiment
Interesting
Interesting idea.
Wow. way cool. thanks for posting... followed ya

Really interesting idea you had here @penguinpablo.... I found this when I was just on steemnow checking some of my stats out.

You and Cliff High... Now you know I have to do some of this!!!!
Germany be punished for WW1?
Don't people know that Germany just FINISHED paying reparations for WW1 in 2014, and still being held hostage for WW2?
History has shown that WW1 was the result of British manipulation.
The war broke out - and just as the Germans were about to be victorious, the British coerced the US to join the war and crushed Germany. Since then, history has not been kind to Germany or its people.
Appreciate Steemnow.com
Super tool - and always open in my first tab!

Remarkable. The winner clearly writes the history books, thus guaranteeing that the same mistakes may be made again.
Fun post!
Seems I'm the only one who got different word order in results. (use incognito 99% of the time)
The UK result? A bit late to be asking "should UK leave the EU"
The dice have been thrown on that query.
There are so many interesting replies here about how Google search works based on past search behaviour.
Semantic search is very powerful at reinforcing our own prejudices and preconceived ideas and raises questions around radicalization.
When searches are carried out on whatever topic, that topic is brought into sharp focus.
The echo chamber effect.
Some people are easily influenced. The one thing we don't teach in school is critical thinking.
Far to many ill informed people get their 'facts' from the web and then repeat this nonsense to all and sundry.
Very few it appears know how to do their own research these days.
Fact checking etc.
Great post. You kicked off a brilliant debate.
This is what I love about steemit. Intelligent questions and answers.
Resteemed upvoted and followed.
haha it is better to know what the google thinks about these countries, after all it is the google which can answer any question in a couple of seconds. Now as you have got your answers by google, please give your reviews on my latest photo shoot of Royal Enfield Bike.
