I never really considered purchasing a smart home device, but after seeing recent upgrades and hearing how handy they can be around the homes of some of my colleagues, I've had a change in heart.
I do prefer Google more than I do Amazon, mostly because I've had experience using more of Google's other products such as the Pixel phone. I trust that they are going to push for more innovation and expand their product line in the near future and maybe even introduce other smart devices to implement around the home....who knows, maybe 10 years down the road a smart home!
