When driving through the South Island of New Zealand it's very important to remember that the roads there are different and you need to allow for extra travel time. This drive took 2 hours longer than it should have because I kept pulling over to take photos.
To avoid seeming like I'm just fishing for comments, does anyone out there NOT love the NZ countryside?

Gorgeous shot. Some times the extra time seems worth it. Can't wait to visit one day.
There is no going from A to B in New Zealand. You always find other letters in between ;)
Ew the NZ countryside is the worst! Umm, not. I have always wanted to visit NZ and this shot is only making that desire stronger!! Gorgeous! You must have been giddy when that light showed up while you were in such a beautiful place! Doesn't get any better than that! Cheers!
I find it very difficult to drive through NZ because it's hard to keep your eyes on the road! Probably why tourists have so many accidents. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Wow shot. Is that line middle of the mountain is road?
Thanks! It may be a part of a farm road but not a public road. There are many mountain roads that do follow a path like that in NZ though :)
It will be fun to being there. Thanks
Once again an incredible shot @kieranstone :)
Thanks, Marcel!
Wow, stunning photograph @kieranstone!
I like the orange, warm mood.
I know the time problem as a passionate photographer you talked about... :-D
In my hiking, I always count 2-3 hours more time for photography. :-)
Thank you! I find it difficult on long hikes when I have to carry at least 10kg of photography gear before even thinking about food and water!
When I'm hiking or mountaineering, I usually have my Sony A6300 + filter/battery packs/cleaning stuff + carbon tripod with me ... it's about 2-3kg I think... that's okay...
Holy hell. that's the kind of view that would stop me right in my tracks. Damn, no wonder the journey took you so long! - Stunning shot.
I had a few people pull over in front of me because they saw what I was photographing. I had to wait for them to leave and get out of the shot! :)
Haha that’s the one thing about shooting photos or film it always attracts such a fuss— glad you waited it out though, it was worth it!
amazing landscapes, love it... folowed! :)
Thank you very much :)
Great, man! I love your photos!
Thanks heaps! Have a great day!
Great photo! Unbelievably epic landscape!
Thank you! New Zealand is a photographers playground ;)
Gorgeous image. Looks like the landscape of a dream! Looking forward to taking my camera to Newzealand one day.
Thank you! It really is a dream location for photographers :)
Amazing! What editing software do you use?
Thanks! I use the Adobe CC programs of Camera RAW and Photoshop

Beautiful!
One day I will have to visit New Zealand!
Thank you! I hope you get the chance!
It's the same here in Philippines, you have to allow extra time when travelling because of the heavy traffic. Haha I'm kidding.
NZ had been a bucket list for me and my wife. Great shot, mate.
Thanks a bunch! I've been to NZ quite a few times and it still amazes me. I hope you get to visit one day :)
Oh my goodness! That is BREATHTAKING! Seriously, that is amazing! I love the mountains! Great job! You get 5/5! Lol!
Yay! Thank you :) Have a wonderful day!
I'm trying to convince my wife to move to NZ!
Plus the 300mm is a pretty heavy lens to hand hold.
:D
Hopefully this photo is persuasive ;)
It is heavy to handhold and keep it steady. Hence the 1/800sec to keep it sharp
Truth be told I'm jealous you got this shot. :D
I'd show my wife but she's sick of hearing about NZ already!
People ask me all the time why I want to live in NZ. Mostly because of the natural beauty, you never hear any bullshit about any government drama, and there are no major natural disasters (at least that I've heard of).
Plus my take is why not move to paradise?
Waw nice shot
Thanks heaps!
I love the drama in NZ landscape. My goal is to get back there again but in Winter for a whole new outlook on it all. Great shot :)
It's magical in winter too :)
I love everything about this picture! Stunning!!! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
wooowwww👌👌
Thanks :)
Daaaamn. Great shot. Super moody.
Thanks again! :)
Absolutely breathtaking! Great work!
Thank you very much!
Amazing! Love it!!!
View like this worth of stopping for even more than 2 hours! :D
I'm amazed I got anywhere in NZ with these views :)
Got it! It goes now to my bucket list now!!! :)

Awesome shot. Like from some movie
Thank you!
New Zealand is one of the many places I really wanted to go.
I hope you get the chance to visit!
Stunning! May I have your permission to use this in a painting?
Thanks, sorry but no.
Those colors! I can see why you need to plan extra travel time. I'm not sure I would even have a final destination in mind for the day and just see where the road would take me. Thank you so much for sharing!
Congrats on the @photocontests & @photofeed wins! Following and looking forward to being inspired by your work in the future.
Thanks so much! It is nice to just drive around with no destination some times 😁
which one editing software you have been using just let me know as well so I could make original work as well, keep me posted mate.
I use Adobe CC software. Primarily Camera Raw and Photoshop. I post the camera settings where possible too. You can also check out my website for tutorials from basic edits to full edits from RAW to final product
