What does it mean to dream?

Every moment is special in that it is unique and stays with us forever. By whatever mystery that is making each living cell of our body work together we live to see another day. Us artists are full of dreams and we are often told they are not realistic. They fail to see how art knows no limits, that we are students of reality and we have never hoped to surpass it. Every day poses new challenges to speak to what it is that makes us human, why we like what we like, fear what we fear. There are as many goals as there are artists out there but what we have in common is the ambition to seek some kind of visceral reaction in our audience. When everything has already been done, it is a tall order to find a fresh take on the same old themes. To make people think or to make them feel something. This is why I want to allow myself to dream again and if realism gets in the way, to choose beauty over the expected and to reach for the stars.
