The window of opportunity

I praise God for this opportunity to be part in the children's Sunday school. I've been longing to continue my ministry that I started in the Philippines, and it took six years that desire was being answered.

The scripture memory for today's youth Sunday:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Matthew 28:19

As a Sunday school teacher, it is very important to teach the children to memorize scripture, you know why?

Because:

1. It provides children with an ever present counselor and protector. We cannot always be with our children. If the Word of God dwells richly in them, they have wise counsel with them at all times.

2. It will retained for a lifetime. They memorize either what the world has to offer them or what we have to offer them.

3. It makes the application and response to the word more likely. That response can come in the form of appropriate behavior, correct attitudes, or in worship of God as we are awed with the truth of His Word.

It is very important that the word of God will impart in their lives. We cannot always be with our children, if we will not offer them with the truth, the deceit of the world will take over in their mind and in their heart...
