Hi Everyone,
This short video explains some changes that I am making in regards to my economics posts and videos.
You can watch the video using the link below:
I currently run two contests, the meme contest and the puzzle contest. These contests have been quite popular. The most recent puzzle and meme contests have received over 100 entries. I will provide the links to both these contests at the end of this post.
At the end of my economics posts and videos I will include 2 questions. These two questions will be relevant to the post or video. All attempts at these questions will be rewarded with an upvote. The first person to get both questions correct will win 1 or 2 SBD.
In addition to the questions, I will also be upvoting the best comments. I am looking for interesting engaging comments that show a genuine interest in the content presented in the post or video. Comments such as ‘great video, man’ or ‘very good, please upvote my posts’ will not receive any upvotes.
An example of an engaging comment is as follows:
'Very post interesting. I was at an auction 2 months ago. I noticed that there was a person voting on every item but never actually bought anything. Do you think that the person had a genuine interest in every item or do you think that he was using some sort of strategy to get a higher price for each item? If this is a strategy do you think it is an effective way of increasing the price for the seller?'
Feel free to leave engaging comments for this video as well, thank you.

I watched the video and I actually think you recognizing good comments is actually a good thing for people who take their time to read and bad business for people who likes spamming contents. I actually participated in the puzzle contest but I found alot of similar snswers/comments. I think the contest should be restructured to actually favour people that actually knows it. More like you asking for #Explanations/analysis for the entry to be valid because economics too is about not about guessing but actually knowing what you doing.
Thanks for the giveaway. We hope to be seeing more of you as stated in the video 😀😀 because we'll always be here for you to see us
Thank you @donaldpete. Simple copy and pasting of answers is becoming a bit of a problem for my puzzle contests. I am thinking of trying something different for my next puzzle contest which I hope will reduce the copy and pasting of answers.
Good thing.
I don't think it is because if I noticed that hapening I'd start discretely filming it and then send the evidence to trading standards to get his mate's auction house closed down.
Not much long term profit in that.
I guess if that was happening at every auction it would start to become obvious. A better strategy would be to select particular items to bid on so that it is more discrete. Even winning a few auctions might be a good idea to remove suspicion. It also depends on the nature of the auctions and the clients. In long-run, I don't believe any of these strategies will be particularly successful.
Sounds Awesome, how many contests are running at the moment? Following YOU!
I have two contests currently running, one meme contest and one puzzle contest. The links are in the post.
awesome!
Becoming a superior course in economics, assets and regional-oriented global and economy-based
Thank you.
This is okay particularly for individuals like me who are simply beginning.
What qualifications or requirements does one require inorder to enter the contest.?
Just upvote the relevant post and you can enter. There are no other requirements.
Awesome.
Thank you,am in.
I'm actually thinking, how about splitting your puzzle contest prize? For instance, make the puzzle questions eight so that you'd get the chance to select two winners from the first two people who got the right separately, that is splitting the price in two for better reckoning. Just my opinion sir.
I'm sorry my voting weight is low, I'd upvote when it gets to like 80
Coming up with eight questions would be rather time consuming. I am thinking of having a second place prize. I need to make a few changes to the contest to make that possible as I have noticed many people just copy other people's answers.
Thank you for your feedback.
Yeah it sure would, good point. Time consuming!
Interesting suggestion, like your thinking. Thanks great comment. Following YOU @josediccus!
I like your attitude and your drive toward bringing about awareness of how integrated economics is as being part of our daily living, no matter where or how you live or what your position is.
What I have always found puzzling is that at least in the public schools I attended, very little schooling in this regard was ever given, especially in the lower grades - and that in spite of the fact that virtually every child, from the moment they could put a penny on the counter, was actively participating in the trading side of it!
The education system is often not about education but about programming children to live to a particular paradigm. That paradigm is mostly about educating children for the workforce rather than for life. Even the way economics is taught, it is mostly theory very limited demonstration of real life application.
Too true...and we as victims in outlying colonies literally mined by GB got an extra high dose of it..
This is really good especially for people like me who are just starting.
I've posted my entries in the previous contests and am looking forward to more.
Thanks
No problem. The Steemit community needs to grow as a whole. I like creating the contests. People enjoy them and everyone gets to walk away with a little something, even if it is just a small upvote.
Yes, that's really great..
These contests are a great way to show your skills..
Thanks for creating them
