Hey guys, I decided to visit the castle "Tucherschloss" in Franconia. First at all I observed the buildings from the outside before I went inside. I recommend you to visit the little castle in Franconia to get to know a part of the history in Franconia. Franconia is located in Bavaria, if you are entering the borders of Franconia you will notice that the architecture is quite different than in the other part of Bavaria. Franconia people even say that, their part of land should not belong to Bavaria. They really want to be independent and people are making jokes like: "Franconia is not in Bavaria". Citizens of Franconia should really have to face the reality and accept that Franconia belongs to Bavaria :P :P
Like many houses in Franconia, the castle is also a sandstone construction
The construction was not the permanent residence of the owners, but rather was used as a property with garden for leisure activities in the summer. During World War II, the property was destroyed to the ground. The furniture and decoration in the castle could be saved, these can be seen since 1969 in the rebuilt castle. The owners of the property were Lorenz Tucher and his wife Katharina Tucher.
I walked around the castle and made some photos out of the yard
I decided to enter the inner courtyard and saw quite different architecture
In general the facade of the castle was kept quite simple, it was the building code back in the days. The courtyard was therefore built more magnificently and different elements of the Renaissance from many countries were used. French architecture were also used in the building. The castle itself was built between 1533 and 1544. The Tucher - Family was a patrician family from Nuremberg.
I also entered the renaissance garden
Nowadays the garden is also called a place of rest. Visitors use the garden to have a picnic and to switch off from the city noise. The garden was awarded in 2004 by the garden design with the architectural award of the city of Nuremberg. The wood heads were art from artist from the area.
The sculptures were made out of wood
Garden decoration was just perfection, still a minimalist style
Looks like a quite old fountain
Wish you all a nice Monday afternoon - See You Soon - Big Hug Lena <3 <3
deutsch / same post in German
Hallo!

A high artistic castle, probably built in the last century
I really like your posts
Wawwww nice post 😊😊👍👍
I think the history of this castle @lenatramper outweights than the castle itself. What gives this castle more valuable and significant is the story behind it. It just like a body without a soul. It lasted that long not because of how its very structure was made of but because of its historical value to the place and to the people behind it. You can just imagine the countless memories it made for those people connected to it.
Trips that attract friends thank you for sharing must be very exciting to get there, success always make you friends, I upvote and resteem

I like old castles) When I look at them, I imagine, how people lived in those days. Thanks for sharing!
Great post with beautiful pics - Thanks for sharing with us.
