Geodes are always fascinating, no matter how plain or intricate they are. That one is really special, I've never seen anything like it in any rock shop I've ever been in.
I'm not surprised she got it from the Tucson rock and gem show, that's the biggest show in the U.S. as far as I know, and completely awesome! I've been to it twice, and want to go again.

yeah supposedly as she said it was her "friend" so you know it was an inside friend job. hehe
ya know how it is ... how much do you think something like that went for?
I wouldn't even want to guess how much something like that would go for, but I'm sure it wasn't cheap.
It looks like that one was cut in half with a big rock saw rather than broken open. The people who had it probably could tell that it was something special when they got it.
