This has been on the list for quiet some time now. The previous installation was more or less a macgyver sollution.

The new prefilter should last longer untill it needs cleaning and has a better flow.

Here 👇 you can see the previous prefilter and how the shrimps love to eat off the sponge.

Compared to the new one 👆, it was half as big. So the filtration surface is bigger which results in more efficiency.

Main reason for me to have a prefilter is that the small young shrimps are safe from the strong imput.

On the grapic bellow you can see how the external filtration is set up. Pretty basic, but if you have questions, I am shure here to help, just ask 🍀
