Today is 8th of May. We have been at home with my daughter and wife for 50 days...Nearly two months

What I'm going to tell you now is the real life story of an author who is still alive. In the beginning, I will not name him. When I finally named him, maybe some of you say "who is it?" he will say, "I've never heard of it before." Well, I'll tell you anyway, because there are some points in his story that I find close to myself and you.

The person I will tell was a writer before writing his first novel, which would later sell millions. But he wrote code. He was a computer programmer. In 1995, he was on the software team of the Warcraft 2 game.Of course, not every business can be as fun as encoding such legendary games. Then, as he did his work at MobileIron, he wrote: writing code for Android software that allows office workers to synchronize their corporate systems with their mobile phones. Even when we say more, we feel sleepy.

Life is such a place, friends. When you are a student, you try to graduate by boring lessons, and after graduation, you can endure your boring jobs and continue your life.So you find yourself what the life meaning is...

Just think of what makes you really happy when you think and feel pessimistic. And try to create a small space in your life to do that thing. The author I told you did like this. The small space he creates for himself is also a website.

The author started to share his dreams in a comic book format 2-3 days a week. When he published the last part of this comic in 2008, he got the following note:

When I started these years ago, I never thought that so many people would listen to my absurd ideas in any way. Thank you all.

For six years, we think hundreds of episodes have been written and drawn from comics and published them from his own little web site, and we think he was very famous when he encountered such a note, right? No. When he say so many people, he talks about a few hundred people who follow him. So did he make a lot of money? For 6 years, 600-bit comics do not write in vain. No. You have posted all of this on this website completely free of charge and you can still go and read it for free. He even zipped the original files of the drawings he started with Adobe Illustrator after the 564th episode and put them on his site. In a way, he published the source code of his designs.

That's what I call art. I call art what he does, how he behaves: this is the art of living. On the one hand, even if it is boring, to make a living and to produce something without getting tired of a subject he loves. For years… Unexpected… Only because doing that work makes him and the few people who love him happy.

There is one more thing the author does on his personal website. Publish your long stories like piecemeal - behind tomorrow. Here, he started writing such a story in 2009 after he finished the comic book project in 2008. As he wrote, he put it on the department website. So when he finished he became a novel. It was a novel published on his personal website that only 3000 people read. Then the readers said that we have a hard time reading it from the website, if you press it, it will be easier to read. Those who know the publishing world also know how difficult it is to print a novel or any book. Especially if you are an unnamed writer, it is a very long and difficult process to go through those first filters and publish your book.

The writer, whose story I told and I haven't named yet, is really an anonymous writer at the time. He has no presence in the publishing world, except that he wrote on his website. That's why he decided to use "direct publishing" technologies. He published his own book on Amazon in September 2012. Of course, even if you do not work with any publishing house and publish directly, there is a cost to this job. You cannot publish for free. Our author put the lowest price allowed by the platform on the tag of the book: 99 cents. From this book, 35,000 copies were sold in 3 months from September to December. Moreover, the free version is still public on the author's personal website.

As his book, which he published slowly started to attract attention, this time a publisher and a manager reached our author. Within 4 days, he signed an agreement with the publisher and then with a film company. “While I was signing these agreements, I was cleaning the bugs in the software in my office,” he explains. Those who know the software world also know how boring it is to debug code.

Of course, signing an agreement with a movie company does not automatically mean that the movie will be produced. In fact, movie companies often make agreements with their authors to avoid losing their rivals before the books are more famous, but they do not shoot 90% of their films because it is very costly. While our writer is aware of this fact, while doing his boring job in his office cube, screenwriter Drew Goddard, who writes films such as Cloverfield and World War Z, begins scripting his book. While writing the script, this time Matt Damon says, "I want to star in this movie." You know that famous Matt Damon.

I think at this point we all have an idea...Those who see Matt Damon come shouting The Martian: D

And our author's name is Andy Weir. I told you his story.

Friends, I wish you all a happy day. We will be away from the streets for a while, but our return will be magnificent.
