Upcycling/ punk clothing

in #gems4 years ago

I am not much of a seamstress but I do enjoy upcycling clothing I have thrifted. I enjoyed collecting and sewing patches onto this Levi’s jacket. It was good fun to collect the patches, some I had purchased from creators on Etsy, as well as from sellers at conventions and some my dad has collected. I had also sewn on pink faux fur onto the collar to add in a bit of my own cute style. Some of the patches I had removed or planned to replace if it looks a bit empty.

I have also upcycled a few pairs of jeans to replicate some bleached jeans I had seen in punk fashion. I think this worked well, using different kinds of jeans made different coloured effects, like black jeans or blue jeans. I think I would like to try with coloured jeans to see what that would look like with bleach on them.

I have considered making some more bleached jeans whilst in quarantine or doing some tie dying of clothing.

Have you been crafty or finding yourself more creative in these uncertain times?
