My murder story

in #gedwriting8 years ago

So it begins, I used to be an ordinary student in high school, I had good grades and really great friends that I did everything with, until one fatal night on the 4th of January. Eight days before my best friend Max's birthday. My night started out as it always did, I went on a short walk around the block. It was windy and there were only a few stars out that night. So I put on a jacket and went. The streets were dark, and dimly lit by streetlights scattered 15 meters apart. Sometime through my walk I realised some of the lights in front of me weren't working. I shrugged it off, as stuff like this was common in my neighbourhood. Little did I know, that one decision could have saved my life. I saw the lights weren't working because someone broke the power box. I didn't want to go back the other way because this was the shortest way back to my house. I felt uneasy but I carried on. I could hear dogs barking from one of the houses behind me, I started to walk faster but it sounded like someone was following me. I turned around to see if I could find someone but it was to dark to see anyone unless they stood in the moonlight. I started walking again seeing that I couldn't find anyone, but I could still hear footsteps they were getting closer and louder whoever this was they were huge, I started to run hoping that whoever it was would stop following me, but they didn't. I ran into a side street hoping they didn't know the area and would stop thinking I was running to a safe area with a lot of people. But they were persistent; they didn't even stop to think. I started to see the lights from the store I thought I did it I was going to be safe. I ran as fast as I possible could to get away, but it was a foolish mistake because i unfortunately tripped over rubbish that was left in the street. I tried to get up but my leg was bleeding... I must have cut it open on something when I fell. It was over. I couldn't get up. I was in so much pain that I wanted to scream but my mouth and throat was dry like sand, the only thing I could think about was the fact I was going to be killed by the hands of someone I didn't know...
