The drama, titled Instinct, sees Cumming as Dr. Dylan Eckhart, a former CIA operative turned author and college professor who finds his way to helping the NYPD track down a serial killer.
I'm usually not a fan for these detective dramas, but I'm all about supporting the tribe. Cumming himself identifies as bisexual, according to the article, and like the character he will be playing, is married to a man. The article goes on to stress that the character's sexuality won't be a main point of the show, with Cumming quoted as saying that the character's sexuality will be the "fourth or fifth most interesting thing" about the Dr. Eckhart character.
