My four year old apricot tree is finally producing a ton of fruit this year.

When harvesting is completed I will be making homemade apricot wine. One of the great benefits of using apricots for wine, is that it has a wild yeast on the skin that helps out with fermentation. The result should be a yellowish peachy color, that smells and taste very good.

Mmmmm, apricot wine!

At our previous house we used to have a cherry tree in the front garden. Loved getting the fruit in the summer. Used to make crumble with it. Not sure if you can make cherry wine? :)

Yum, homemade crumble pie sounds amazing.

I wont be making cherry wine, they will just be eaten raw. I do have jostaberries, boysenberries, raspberries, and elderberries that I will be adding to a pie and making a few jars of jam with.

Apricots are the best but I like them not as ripe it makes them a little more sour

Wow remarkable job I must stay! The beauty that comes from harvesting your own fruit I can just imagine ! Love it ❤️ Upvoting you and must follow !

Thank you.

wow! They looks like the trees of my parents in Southamerica! Following and upvoting you big soul @bola!

@bola loved your quality work upvoted and following you.

I love apricots! FULL STEEM AHEAD!!!

Great! finally producing..

They will be delicious :)

My Elderberries are in full bloom now do you make a jam with the berries? How do you get the seeds out? @cullyguy

Hey I might take a few snap shot of my elderberry, its blooming as well. I leave the seeds when making jam. I also will add some elderberries to cereal or a milkshake.

Nice photos and great gardening, there are plenty of them!

Thank you.

You're welcome! ;)

We had the best apricot tree in our back yard growing up :)

Only tried apricots for the first time recently, but I was mighty impressed by their delicious and addictive quality. Particularly intrigued by your mention of making apricot wine...please be sure to post that when you do :)

I will, thanks for reading my blog.

I love apricots! Here we have some plum trees, but not apricot trees (maybe in the future ^_^)

I am interested in seeing the garden

That is great! You can also make chutney and jam.

I like apricots! How much more time is needed so that they are ripe?

Apricots can take up to 3-4 weeks to ripen, the color will turn yellowish-orange.
This apricot tree may be ready for harvest in another 2 weeks.

I have to find apricot wine one day and try it ) but for sure it will be different than homemade
